Northern Territory Police are calling for information after a woman was allegedly assaulted near the Todd River adjacent to Strehlow Street, Alice Springs on Sunday.

Around 1pm, a woman reported to police that she was allegedly assaulted by an unknown man in the Todd River.

Detectives from the Alice Springs Criminal Investigation Brach are investigating the incident.

Anyone who was in the area of South Terrace, between Stephens Road and Strehlow Street, between 12:00pm and 1:30pm on Sunday is urged to contact police on 131 444.

Police are particularly interested in any relevant dash-cam footage. Please quote reference 10363047.
