Call for information – Aggravated unlawful entries – Alice Springs

Northern Territory Police are calling for information after two unlawful entries in Alice Springs.

Around 6pm yesterday, an occupant of a residence on Hong Street, Gillen, returned home to find 3 male offenders inside who had unlawfully entered the property.

It is alleged that the occupant of the residence was threatened with an edged weapon before the offenders fled the scene in the occupant’s vehicle, a gold 2008 Subaru Forester.

The offenders are described as being of Aboriginal appearance, aged in their late teens to early 20’s and wearing dark clothing.

Around 4.25am this morning, the occupant of a residence on Lovegrove Drive, Alice Springs, woke to find 3 male offenders inside who had unlawfully entered the property.

It is alleged that the occupant of the residence was threatened with a number of weapons before the offenders fled the scene in the occupant’s vehicle, a silver coloured Toyota Hilux.

The offenders were also described as being of Aboriginal appearance, aged in their late teens to early 20’s and wearing dark clothing.

The Southern Crime Squad are investigating both incidents and at this stage are unable to confirm if they are linked.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Janice Kershaw said “Police are urging anyone with information, CCTV or dash cam footage of any suspicious behaviour in the vicinity of Hong Street and Lovegrove Drive, to make contact on 131 444. Please quote reference number 10222115.
