Northern Territory Police are calling for information after an aggravated burglary in Alice Springs overnight.

Around 7:45pm, a residence on Nelson Terrace, Araluen, was unlawfully entered by 3 males, one armed with a knife. The sole occupant, a female youth, was threatened with the knife whilst the males demanded money.

The males left the location a short time later with items from the residence and fled by foot in the direction of Zeil Street.

Police would like to reassure the public that this matter is being investigated thoroughly and to remind people to remain vigilant and report any suspicious behaviour directly to police on 131 444.

Police are seeking public assistance from anyone that was in the area that may have information including CCTV or dash cam footage.
