Arrest – Property offences – Darwin CBD

Northern Territory Police have arrested a 15-year-old male in relation to property offences that occurred on Sunday in Darwin CBD.

At 5:15am, a group of 4 youth offenders allegedly unlawfully entered a licenced premises on Mitchell Street and stole a quantity of alcohol.

A short time later the youths allegedly unlawfully entered another premises at the Waterfront, before stealing two Mazda BT-50 utilities. Both vehicles were located abandoned at Nightcliff.

Detectives from Strike Force Trident identified and arrested a 15-year-old male yesterday, who has since been charged with:

  • Unlawful Entry - building x 2
  • Stealing x 2
  • Damage to Property
  • Unlawful Use of Motor Vehicle

He was remanded to appear in court today.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Bland said “Investigations remain ongoing to identify the remaining four offenders.

“Police are urging anyone with information regarding these incidents to contact police on 131 444. You can also anonymously report through Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
