Arrest - Police vehicle rammed - Woolner

Northern Territory Police have arrested a man following a police vehicle being rammed in Woolner on Saturday.

At 2:30pm, police received reports the driver of a silver Ford Falcon sedan had threatened the front passenger of the vehicle with a knife.

Police located the vehicle parked outside a business on Bishop Street, Woolner. While attempting to approach the vehicle on foot, the vehicle has allegedly abruptly reversed in the direction of officers before striking the police vehicle and driving off at speed.

A police pursuit was terminated due to the dangerous driving of the vehicle.

Serious Crime Detectives arrested a 34-year-old man this morning, who is believed to be a passenger in the offending vehicle. He was bailed in relation to outstanding warrants.
