Northern Territory Police have arrested a 50-year-old man after he allegedly assaulted his partner with a glass bottle and threw boiling water over her on multiple occasions.

The victim received treatment at the hospital for her injuries.

Members from the Domestic Family Violence Unit located the man in Palmerston following notification of the incident.

The man remains in custody to appear in Darwin Local Court today.
