Apprehension – Armed person – Alice Springs

Northern Territory Police have apprehended a 37-year-old man in Braitling overnight.

Just after 9:00 PM, frontline and specialist officers responded to a man making threats and behaving erratically. Upon arrival, officers observed the man in possession of knuckle dusters and a knife.

The man was apprehended safely by police before being transported to the Alice Springs Hospital for a medical assessment.

Acting Commander James Gray-Spence said “The situation was quickly and professionally handled by all of the officers involved and I commend everyone for their actions.”
