Northern Territory Police are investigating after a woman was assaulted with a knife in an alleged domestic violence incident in Ali Curung overnight.
Around 12am, police received reports the 24-year-old woman was assaulted multiple times with a knife, suffering lacerations to her back.
She was treated at the local clinic and will be conveyed to Alice Springs Hospital for treatment.
The alleged offender, her 28-year-old male partner, fled the scene and is actively avoiding police.
Detectives are urging anyone who witnessed the incident to make contact on 131 444 or through your local station.
