Structure fire – Girraween

Fire and Rescue

Northern Territory Fire and Rescue Service responded to a structure fire at Girraween earlier this evening. 

At around 5.50pm, Humpty Doo and Palmerston Fire Stations were dispatched to a property on Dudley Court after a call to Triple 000 reported the fire. 

Firefighters arrived on scene approximately 13 minutes later to find two caravans well alight.

Crews extinguished the blaze. The caravans were destroyed in the fire.

St John Ambulance NT and NT Police were also in attendance. St John Ambulance NT attended to a resident who received serious burns as a result of the fire and was taken to hospital for further treatment.

A fire investigator is attending the scene and investigations as to the cause of the fire are underway.
