Northern Territory Police are seeking information from the public in relation to a fatal hit and run near Timber Creek on Friday 22 April 2022.  

The incident is believed to have occurred on the Victoria Highway, between 1am and 4am, 40km west of Timber Creek.

A 19-year-old man was declared deceased at the scene and the offending vehicle and driver unknown.

Detective Sergeant Jeshua Kelly said, “Major Crash are urging any motorists travelling or camping along the highway between those times to please contact police to assist with our investigation.

“It is possible that the driver may have been camping in the area and nearby campers may have heard a vehicle leave a campground during the early hours.

“The family are devastated for the loss of their loved one, and we urge the driver of the vehicle to make themselves known to police.”
