Pedestrian crash - Bees Creek

Police

Emergency Services have attended to a pedestrian crash this afternoon in Bees Creek.

Just after 3pm, police received a call that a child had been struck by a vehicle after exiting from a bus and crossing the road.

Police and St John Ambulance attended and the child was treated at the scene before being taken to Royal Darwin Hospital with serious head injuries. 

The driver of the bus and the vehicle involved in the crash both stopped and are assisting police with the investigation.

Major Crash detectives are currently on scene and will investigate the circumstances of the crash.
