Fatal crash - Pedestrian – Palmerston

Northern Territory Police are investigating after a fatal collision in Palmerston last night.

At around 10pm, police received reports of a collision between a vehicle and pedestrian on Temple Terrace.

A 63-year-old man was declared deceased with the driver remaining at the scene.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Corey Borton said, “The driver has done the right thing by stopping and remaining at the scene, where they tested negative for drugs and alcohol.

“These are tragic circumstances and the Major Crash Unit are investigating.

“A report will be prepared for the coroner.”
