Northern Territory Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred near Manton Dam overnight.

At around 10pm, Police received a report that a vehicle, traveling north along the Stuart Highway, had collided with a tree near the Manton Dam turn-off.

Emergency services responded and on arrival a 15-year-old male was found deceased. The remaining four occupants, all males aged between 9 and 15, were conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Detective Senior Sergeant Brendan Lindner said, “Major Crash detectives remain on scene investigating the circumstance of the crash.  Road diversions are currently in place.”
