Charges – Unlawful entry – Alice Springs

Northern Territory Police arrested four males in relation to an unlawful entry in Alice Springs on Saturday.

At 12:30pm, a residence on Woods Terrace, Braitling, was unlawfully entered and a quantity of cash, alcohol and small items stolen. A witness contacted police and provided a description of the offenders and the direction they fled.

A short time later, members from Strike Force Viper, with assistance from general duties, apprehended four males in the vicinity of Heads Street oval. All were in possession of stolen property.

Two 22-year-olds were charged with:

  • Posses stolen property
  • Breach of bail

A 17-year-old was charged with one count of possess stolen property and a 14-year-old was dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act 2005.

Superintendent Megan Blackwell said, “Police would like to thank the member of the public who provided vital information that allowed our officers to quickly apprehend these individuals.

“Strike Force Viper have made a number of arrests over the past week under similar circumstances and would urge anyone who witnesses suspicious behaviour to make contact through 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

“Strike Force Viper will continue to investigate all reported unlawful entries.”
