Northern Territory Police are calling for information in relation to an incident that occurred in Ludmilla last night.

Shortly after 9pm, police received a report of an alleged sexual assault of a 46-year-old woman.

Police and St John Ambulance attended and a search of the area was conducted with several items of interest being located. The woman was taken to Royal Darwin Hospital.

Detective Senior Sergeant Matt Akers said: “The Dog Operations Unit, detectives and general duties members attended the area however, the suspect was not located.

“We are seeking to obtain any information from members of the public who were out and about in the vicinity of Narrows Road and Bagot Road between 8:30pm to 8:45pm.

The person of interest is described as being male with a dark complexion, short dark hair and wearing a tan coloured cargo pants, black singlet and black shoes.
