Call for information – Aggravated robbery – Tennant Creek

Northern Territory Police are calling for information after a robbery in Tennant Creek yesterday morning.

Around 7am on Sunday 2 October, three unknown males unlawfully entered a business on Skipper Street before being confronted by a 65-year-old male employee.

The victim had noticed vehicles’ keys missing from the location and went outside to investigate, where he was confronted by two of the males. One of the males brandished a blunt weapon before the victim fled back inside.

The males fled the scene in a gold coloured Kia Cerato sedan stolen from the location. 

Tennant Creek general duties located the vehicle abandoned a short time later.

Sergeant Hayley Duncan said “Tennant Creek Criminal Investigation Branch have carriage of the incident and are urging anyone with information, particularly dash-cam footage or home CCTV footage, to make contact on 131 444. "Investigators are interested to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the incident or observed the stolen motor vehicle driving around on Sunday morning.

“There is no excuse for this sort of behaviour in our community.”
