Northern Territory Police are calling for information after an alleged indecent act in Darwin on Saturday morning.

At around 6:30am, two males were sleeping on the footpath in the vicinity of Gilruth Avenue and Gardens Road when a 34-year-old male has allegedly indecently touched one of the males sleeping.

The 34-year-old was arrested by police at the scene and has since been charged with one count of performing an act of gross indecency. He was remanded to appear in Darwin Local Court today.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Malogorski said, “Police are urging anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen something, or if you have dash-cam footage, to make contact on 131 444. Please quote reference 10106433.”
