Arrest – Property offences – Stuart Park

Northern Territory Police have arrested a 33-year-old man in relation to property offences in Stuart Park earlier this week.

Between 12am and 5am on Monday, three residences on Ruddick Circuit were unlawfully entered.

The offender allegedly stole thousands of dollars’ worth of electronics, cash, sound equipment and other items.

CCTV footage identified the man, who was then linked to another two unlawful entries in Cullen Bay last month.

A search warrant was executed at the residence where 85 small clip sealed bags of cannabis and property matching items stolen from the recent unlawful entries were also located.

The man was subsequently arrested and taken to Palmerston Watch House, where he was charged with:

  • Possess stolen property x 4

  • Possess traffickable quantity of schedule 2 dangerous drug

  • Supply traffickable quantity of schedule 2 dangerous drug

  • Possess fireworks outside of approved period

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Chris Humphries said: “The estimated value of the stolen property seized during the warrant is $12,000.

“Investigators are making further efforts to identify other victims with further charges expected to be laid over the coming days.”
