Arrest – Damage to property – Alice Springs

Northern Territory Police have arrested five youths in relation to property offending in Alice Springs overnight.

Strike Force Viper members were advised of two youths who were in breach of bail conditions. Detectives conducted enquiries into the whereabouts of the youths, before locating them at a commercial business along Lindsay Avenue, with three other youths.

The youths had caused damage inside the premise, before being arrested at the scene by police.

Two males, aged 13 and 14, have been charged with:

  • Unlawful entry
  • Damage of property

Three youths, aged 10, 13 and 14, will be dealt with under the Youth Justice Act.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Robert Kent of Strike Force Viper said, “Viper are working tirelessly to locate and apprehend offenders who continue to cause damage and chaos to our community.

“We thank the public for continuing to help identify those offenders.”
