This morning Northern Territory Police arrested a woman in relation to a structure fire in Malak overnight.

Just before 10pm last night, Police and fire crews were called to a residence in Rickards Court after smoke alarms alerted neighbours to a possible fire.

The interior was fully engulfed but quickly extinguished by fire crews. The property was empty at the time and nobody was injured.

Detective Senior Sergeant Brett Cottier said, “Police established a crime scene and this morning we arrested a 30-year-old woman.

“We are still investigating this matter and would like to speak with any witnesses or anyone with relevant information.”
