UPDATE - Concern for welfare - Alice Springs

Northern Territory Police Northern Territory Police have located a 73-year-old man alive in Alice Springs earlier today.

The man, who was reported as missing to police earlier yesterday, was found by land search crews in bushland 2.6km east of Hidden Valley Camp.

The man has been transported to the Alice Springs Hospital for assessment.

Snr Sgt Michael Potts said information from a member of the public assisted in narrowing the search area.

“Following the media release on the NT PFES Facebook page we received information from a member of the public who was able to take police to the location where he saw the man.

“As a result this greatly assisted in reducing the search area and ultimately lead us to find the man sooner than later.”

Police would like to thank Northern Territory Emergency Service members and volunteers for their assistance with the search.
