UPDATE: Charges - Robbery - Winnellie

Northern Territory Police have arrested and charged three males in relation to a number of robberies committed in Malak, Winnellie and Casuarina.

Strike Force Trident Detectives arrested a 20-year-old male yesterday for his alleged involvement in a robbery in Winnellie on Monday. He was charged with:

  • 1 x Aggravated robbery
  • 1 x Breach of bail

His alleged co-offender, a 17-year-old male, was arrested at the same location for the same robbery, as well as robberies on businesses in Malak on 24 March 2021 and Casuarina on 15 April 2021. He was charged with:

  • 3 x Aggravated robbery
  • 1 x Damage to property

A third male, also 17 years old, was arrested at the same location for his alleged involvement in the Malak business robbery and his separate involvement in a Malak car theft on 25 March 2021. He was charged with:

  • 1 x Aggravated robbery
  • 1 x Unlawful use motor vehicle

All three were remanded and are due to appear in court today.
