Unlawful entry and criminal damage - Alice Springs

Northern Territory Police are investigating two separate incidents in which supermarkets were targeted by unknown offenders in Alice Springs earlier this week.

Around 11pm on Monday police were alerted to an incident in which unknown offenders used a vehicle to cause damage to the outside wall of the supermarket on Milner Road in an attempt to gain entry.

In a separate incident just before midnight police responded to an unlawful entry of a supermarket in Braitling.

CCTV footage showed two men getting out of a dark coloured Land cruiser at the location before unlawfully entering the building.

Offenders caused some damage inside the business before fleeing with an empty cash till.

Strike Force Viper has carriage of the investigations and is currently reviewing CCTV footage to determine whether the incidents are linked.
