Two new Superintendents appointed

Police

Northern Territory police have promoted two of its members to the rank of Superintendent.

The following members have been promoted:

  • Superintendent Megan Blackwell
  • Superintendent Mark Grieve

18 officers applied for the positions.

Commissioner Jamie Chalker APM said the number of officers who applied and their calibre is clear evidence of the strong leadership throughout the Northern Territory Police Force.

“To have 18 members apply for two positions shows our people are willing to take on responsibility to set a good example, to drive a culture that is inclusive, supportive and professional in all that we do.

“Our mission is to serve and protect the Northern Territory and our community can be reassured by the quality of people such as Superintendent Blackwell and Superintendent Grieve.

“These Superintendents have extensive experience across the frontline, crime and investigations. They are people of high integrity who will further develop our police force.

“I congratulate the successful candidates and thank everyone who applied for the positions.”
