Trio apprehended for property crime - Tennant Creek

Three youth who unlawfully entered and stole items from a caravan Tennant Creek at the weekend have been caught red-handed by Tennant Creek Police.

Local police apprehended the three males, aged 15, 15 and 16-years-old, after they were captured on CCTV footage unlawfully entering and stealing items from within the caravan.

Acting Superintendent of Tennant Creek Adrian Kidney said police were well aware of the recent increase in property offending in the area.

“We know there is a small contingent of offenders currently causing issues for residents and businesses in the area, and as such are working with local stakeholders to implement CCTV cameras, to assist with investigations, across hot spots,” said A/Supt Kidney

The three youths will be dealt with under the Youth Justice Act.
