Criminal damage - Alice Springs

Two youth were apprehended by Northern Territory Police in relation to the criminal damage of multiple vehicles in Alice Springs overnight.

Just after 7pm police responded to reports of eight vehicles being criminally damaged while parked in a car park on Gap Road.

On police arrival the youths fled the area on foot. Police located one boy sitting in one of the damaged vehicles and the other was apprehended following a foot chase with police, on Stuart Terrace.

An 11-year-old boy was dealt with under the Youth Justice Act and a 9-year-old boy was conveyed home and will be referred to the appropriate support agencies.
