Northern Territory Police have charged a man in relation to drug and firearm offences in Humpty Doo.

The Drug and Organised Crime Section executed a search warrant on the man’s residential address on Tuesday, where detectives located a large amount of cash, stolen and unregistered firearms along with a traffickable amount of drugs.

The 31-year-old was arrested at the residence and has been charged with:

  • Supply schedule 1 dangerous drug - commercial quantity
  • Possess schedule 1 dangerous drug
  • Possess property received in the commission of an offence
  • Possess firearm without a licence
  • Possess stolen property
  • Possess ammunition without a licence
  • Possess thing to administer dangerous drug

He was remanded to appear before Darwin Local Court on 23 February 2022.

Detective Senior Sergeant Wayne Newell said, “The supply of these dangerous substances into our community has long term harmful effects to our most vulnerable.

“The Drug and Organised Crime Section will continue to work tirelessly to remove these substances and prosecute anyone who attempts to introduce them.”
