Charges - Domestic Violence - Coolalinga

Northern Territory Police have charged a 41-year-old female following an alleged assault in Coolalinga yesterday.

At around 2am, the female has allegedly assaulted a 48-year-old man with an edged weapon. The man was conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital via St John Ambulance where he underwent emergency surgery.

Police arrested the woman and she was charged with:

  • cause serious harm
  • engage in conduct that contravenes a domestic violence order

She was remanded in custody to appear in the Darwin Local Court on 3 March 2021.

Detective Senior Sergeant Warren Scott said, “If you’re a victim of domestic violence or know someone that is experiencing domestic violence, please report it.
