Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses following an attempted violent robbery in Moulden last night.

At around 8:30pm, three males armed with rocks and sticks entered a Moulden business and begun assaulting staff. One of the offenders attempted to steal liquor, but was unsuccessful. All three males then fled the scene.

During the incident a male customer was chased from the store by one of the offenders, who allegedly threw rocks at him.

Northern Territory Police arrested an 18-year-old male in relation to the incident shortly after. Strike Force Trident Detectives have charged the male with:

2 x Assault with intent to steal – armed with weapon

He is expected to face court later today. Investigations are continuing to apprehend the other offenders.
