Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses following a robbery incident in Darwin City overnight.

At around 12:50am, a 20-year-old man was walking on Wood Street, when he was approached by an unknown male, who allegedly threatened the man with an edged weapon, demanding the victim hand over his wallet and mobile.

The alleged offender has then fled the scene in a white Toyota Hilux utility with a black tray. The victim was not injured.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage of this vehicle travelling on wood street is urged to contact police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. Please quote reference number 9583214.
