Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses following an alleged aggravated assault in Moulden yesterday afternoon.

At around 5:55pm, a 44-year-old man was outside his residence on McGuire Circuit when he was approached by an unknown male and allegedly assaulted with an edged weapon.

The victim has attempted to restrain the alleged offender before rendering him unconscious and returning inside his residence to call to Police.

Upon returning outside, the unknown male had left the scene. The victim suffered injuries to his face and legs. He was taken to Royal Darwin Hospital for treatment.

The unknown male is described as having tanned skin, tall slim build, aged in his 20s with short dark hair. He was wearing a brown t-shirt, dark shorts and no shoes.
