Call for information – Crime series – Ludmilla

Police

Northern Territory Police are investigating a series of unlawful entries and two assaults that occurred in and around Ludmilla yesterday.

In one incident, a young child was assaulted by a man not known to her around 5.30pm. He fled after being interrupted by the child’s sibling.

The offender is described as being approximately 165 centimetres tall, with brown skin, black hair, wearing a white t-shirt with the number 53 on it, dark navy shorts and no shoes.

Four Ludmilla homes were also broken into during the day, three of which had been left unsecured. Entry had been forced to a fourth. Property was stolen from these homes.

Around 11pm a woman was at home in The Narrows when an intruder entered through an unlocked door and allegedly assaulted her before fleeing.

Police are canvassing the area and calling for anyone with information to come forward.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Bland said, “We are urging anyone who saw anything out of the ordinary to contact us on 131 444 as soon as possible.

“We also remind people to be aware of their personal security and always secure their homes and vehicles, and do not leave any valuables in plain sight.”
