Arrests – Unlawful entry – Alice Springs

Two youth, aged 13, have been arrested in relation to the unlawful entry of a business in Alice Springs last week.

CCTV captured three youth unlawfully entering a café on Larapinta Drive just before 11pm on Friday. Once inside the premises the youth stole a quantity of cash before fleeing the scene.

Members of Strike Force Viper were conducting patrols in the area when they identified one of the youth, who was breaching his bail, he was transported back to the Alice Springs Watch House.

The youth was later identified as an offender for the unlawful entry.

Further inquiries identified the second offender, who was located and arrested by Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Branch.

Both youths were each charged with one count each of Unlawful entry – Building, Damage to property and Stealing, and will appear before court at a later date.

Inquiries continue to locate the third offender.
