Arrest - Unlawful entries - Alice Springs

Northern Territory Police have arrested and charged a person in relation to a series of unlawful entries in The Gap area in Alice Springs last week.

It will be alleged a 20-year-old man unlawfully entered four residential properties on Ballingall Street and Clara Court on Tuesday 16 February.

The man was identified and arrested by members of Strike Force Viper in the Alice Springs CBD late yesterday.

The man was transported to the Alice Springs Watch House and is expected to appear before court on the following charges:

  • 4 x  Unlawful Entry – dwelling 
  • 4 x Stealing
  • 4 x Damage to property
  • 1 x Aggravated unlawful use of a motor vehicle – in relation to a separate incident involving a stolen motor vehicle in December last year.

He will appear before the Alice Springs Local Court today

Police inquiries continue to identify the other offender involved in the unlawful entries.
