Viper strikes property offenders - Alice Springs

Detectives from Strike Force Viper have arrested and charged three people in relation to property offences in Alice Springs.

At 11:30pm police responded to alarms at a licensed business on Gap Road, and on arrival located a man hiding in the bushes at the back of the business.

Police pursued the man on foot after he fled the scene and arrested him in the Todd River.

The man will appear before court to be charged with one count each of Stealing and Unlawful entry.

A 16-year-old male has been charged in relation to an unlawful entry of a property in Araluen on 15 October.

It is alleged the youth stole two mobile phones after gaining entry into the property that night.

He has been charged with one count each of Unlawful Entry and Stealing and has been summonsed to appear before court at a later date.

A 14-year-old male was charged in relation to a stealing incident at a Larapinta home in which a quantity of alcohol was stolen from the back yard on 6 September.

He has been summonsed to appear before court at a later date on one count each of Stealing and Trespass.
