On Saturday 25 April a 53-year old off duty Police Officer was arrested for drink driving. He was subsequently charged with a High Range Drink Driving offence and will appear in the Alice Springs Local Court on 7 July 2020. The officer has been suspended from duty on pay while Professional Standards Command conduct an investigation into the incident.

As the matter is before the court no further information will be provided.
