Liquor seized - Jabiru

Police

Northern Territory Police have issued notices to appear in court to five people following an RBT in Jabiru.

Police conducted the RBT between 1:30am and 5:30am on Saturday 8 August 2020.

A 24-year-old man was issued a notice to appear for drive a motor vehicle while unlicensed and possess cannabis after police located two packages of cannabis secreted in the man’s vehicle.

A 29-year-old man who was found to be driving with a suspended license returned a positive result for alcohol at 0.034 BrAC. He was issued a notice to appear for traffic offences including drive with unrestrained child.

A 22-year-old man was issued a notice to appear in court for bring/possess liquor in alcohol protected area, and a 30-year-old man was issued a notice to appear for bring/possess/supply liquor in alcohol protected area.

A 21-year-old woman was issued a notice to appear for drive a motor vehicle while unlicensed.

Police also issued three traffic infringement notices and three liquor infringement notices to other individuals.

A total of 29 litres of alcohol was seized and destroyed during the RBT.

Police will seize a vehicle in the near future for its use in the transportation of liquor into an alcohol protected area.
