Northern Territory Police are investigating the death of an 8-year-old boy in Katherine on Sunday 14 June 2020.

At around midday, police received information that the boy had fallen from a caravan while it was being towed on Edith Farms Road.

The child suffered serious injuries and was taken to Katherine District Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Major Crash Investigation Unit and local detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. A white Mazda utility and a white Roma caravan involved in the incident have been seized.
