A 24-year-old man has died following a single vehicle crash in Ngukurr Community yesterday afternoon. 

At around 2.00pm yesterday, police and local emergency services responded to the crash which occurred on the main street of the township. The man was ejected from the vehicle which had been observed driving erratically prior to the crash.

Sadly, the man later died as a result of injuries suffered during the crash.

Major Crash Investigation Unit detectives and local police are currently on scene investigating the circumstances of the crash, along with the reports of the manner of driving within the Community prior to the crash occurring.

This is the first life lost on NT roads this year.
