A 68-year-old man has died in hospital this morning following a single vehicle crash that occurred on Thursday 23 July 2020.

The crash occurred on a remote and unsealed Finke Road, approximately 50kms east of Kulgera. The man is believed to have been a passenger in a 4WD which left the road and rolled a number of times.

Local police and clinic staff responded to the crash and the three occupants were airlifted by Royal Flying Doctor Service to Alice Springs Hospital.

The driver and other passenger remain admitted to Alice Springs Hospital.

Detectives from the Major Crash Investigation Unit have taken carriage and will investigate the circumstances of the crash.
