Northern Territory Police have responded to a single vehicle fatal crash on Barkly Highway in which two men have died.

About 5:00pm on Saturday 15 August 2020, police received a report of a crash on Barkly Highway approximately 245 kilometres east of Tennant Creek.

The vehicle was travelling west when it left the road and collided into a tree. Two men, aged 18 and 52, died at the scene.

Detectives from Southern Major Crash Investigation Unit are investigating the circumstances of the crash. A report will be prepared for the coroner.
