Drug seizure – West Arnhem

Northern Territory Police have prevented a quantity of cannabis from entering a remote community in the West Arnhem region.

At around 4:15pm yesterday, police were conducting a random breath testing station on a rural road. Police stopped and searched a vehicle which resulted in the seizure of approximately 11.3 grams of cannabis. If the cannabis had reached the community, police expect it would’ve sold for almost $2,000.

Police issued a 25-year-old man a drug infringement notice for possess a dangerous drug. The 26-year-old female driver was issued a notice to appear in court for drive a motor vehicle while unlicensed.
