NT Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 29-year-old man on the Darwin Esplanade in the early hours of this morning.

Around 4am police and the NT Emergency Service responded to a call that a man had fallen from the cliff. The man was declared deceased at the scene.

Investigations are continuing and police will prepare a report for the coroner.
