Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses following an alleged aggravated assault that occurred in Parap.

About 9:30am on Thursday 23 July 2020, a 41-year-old woman and 37-year-old man were in the vicinity of Parap Road and Gregory Street when the man allegedly chased the woman onto the road and assaulted her.

Members of the public assisted the woman who was conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital for medical treatment.

The 37-year-old man was later arrested and charged with aggravated assault.

He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear in Darwin Local Court on Wednesday 23 September 2020.
