Northern Territory Police are calling for information in relation to the unlawful entry at the Alice Springs Rail yards overnight.

Just before 4am unknown offenders gained entry to a shipping container in the rail yards on Whittaker Street and removed and damaged a number of parcels and caused criminal damage to a nearby train carriage.

Police are calling for anyone with information in relation to this incident, to contact them on 131 444 or report it anonymously via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 and reference PROMIS number 9408508.
