Arrests – Unlawful entry – The Narrows

Northern Territory Police have arrested two men following the alleged unlawful entry of a residence in The Narrows this morning.

Shortly before 10:00am, police received a report of a group of unknown armed persons forcing entry into the residence of a 56-year-old male. Several items including an amount of cash were stolen before the group fled in a vehicle.

The male victim was at home during the incident and immediately notified police.

Detectives from Strike Force Trident, and Darwin and Casuarina General Duty members conducted extensive investigations to identify a vehicle of interest which was located in Casuarina.

The vehicle was apprehended and a 31-year-old male and a 44-year-old male were arrested and conveyed to the Palmerston Watch House.

A 29-year-old female passenger was also arrested but was later released without charge.

The men remain in police custody with investigations continuing.
