Arrest - Attempted Unlawful Entry - Timber Creek

Northern Territory Police have arrested four people in relation to an attempted unlawful entry at a business in Timber Creek.

At around 12:15am yesterday, Police received reports of a stolen vehicle that had been used to attempt to gain access to the property.  

They later returned to the property with weapons and started harassing staff and guests before leaving the scene.

Police conducted a search of surrounding bushland and recovered the stolen vehicle, and shortly after arrested two male youths, both aged 16, and two male adults, both aged 18. 

The two adults will face Timber Creek Local Court on 9 December 2020. They have been charged with: 

  • aggravated unlawful use of motor vehicle
  • attempt unlawful entry
  • damage to property
  • armed with offensive weapon at night
  • breach of bail

The two youths will be subject to the provisions of the Youth Justice Act 2005.

Acting Superintendent Tanya Woodcock said, “Deliberate theft and damage of property is unacceptable and hits hard when it affects workers and businesses in small townships.

“Police would like to thank the community members for their assistance and support in the matter.”
