Eight people reported missing near Bulman, 308km east of Katherine have been located by Northern Territory Police and Emergency Services this afternoon.

A helicopter deployed from Katherine, located the overdue party during an aerial search of the Bulman area around 4pm.

There are no reported injuries, however all eight people were transported to the Bulman Clinic for assessment.

Police are urging motorists to take care on our roads, particularly those that may be affected by the recent rains. There are a number of roads at present where there is a real risk of becoming bogged in the wet season. We ask the community to be prepared when driving in remote locations, and to not risk driving on hazardous roads.
