Motorcyclist critically injured in a crash at East Arm

On Saturday, 7 September 2019, a 50-year-old male rider and his 36 year-old female pillion passenger crashed after failing to negotiate a bend in the road at East Arm.  The rider suffered serious head injuries and his passenger received lower leg injuries.

Both the rider and passenger were taken to the Royal Darwin Hospital.  The male rider remains in a critical condition.  Police Officers from Northern Traffic Operations are investigating the cause of this crash.

Senior Sergeant Angela Stringer of Northern Traffic Operations said, “It was a bad weekend on Territory roads for motorcycle riders, my Traffic Officers are investigating motor cycle crashes from the weekend that were avoidable.  These kinds of crashes impact across our community.”
