Missing Persons - Bulman

Police

Northern Territory Police hold concerns for several people who have been reported missing near Bulman, approximately 308 kilometres east of Katherine.

Telina Cummings, Kurt Tipingwuti and Esau Martin, aged 26, 26 and 31, left to go hunting in an area approximately 20 kilometres south-east of Bulman on Monday 4 February. They have not been seen since. Police believe the trio were travelling in an older model Toyota Landcruiser.

Two men went to search for the missing people on Tuesday 5 February. Lincoln Martin, aged 44, and James Andrews, aged 32, departed Bulman in separate vehicles. They have also not returned.

The matter was later reported to police. Police believe the initial hunting party had ample food and water and are familiar with the area.

An aerial search is underway in the Bulman area. A helicopter has been deployed from Katherine today, carrying a trained aerial observer, being a Northern Territory Emergency Services volunteer, with further resources en route.

A land search is currently restricted due to localised flooding and boggy conditions.

Anyone with further information in relation to the missing people is urged to contact police on 131 444.
